My Therapeutic Philosophy
Healing is a gradual process, built on small, meaningful shifts that shape the story of your life over time. I believe in a low and slow approach—focusing on sustainable, achievable change rather than quick fixes.
In therapy, we explore the narratives you’ve carried—stories shaped by past experiences, trauma, and societal expectations. Using Narrative Therapy, we can examine these stories with curiosity and compassion, identifying which ones serve you and which no longer align with the life you want to build. You are not defined by your struggles; together, we can rewrite your story in a way that honors your resilience and growth.
When working with trauma, moving at the right pace is essential. I prioritize safety, trust, and stability, allowing space for healing without overwhelming the nervous system. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps us make room for difficult emotions rather than fighting them, so you can move forward in a way that aligns with your values. Progress isn’t about eliminating discomfort—it’s about learning how to live fully, even in its presence.
Because trauma is stored in both the mind and body, I also integrate somatic work, helping you tune into physical sensations and regulate your nervous system. Whether through grounding exercises, breathwork, or mindful movement, we’ll work on building awareness and safety within your body, allowing for deeper healing.
Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about deepening self-understanding, making choices that reflect your values, and creating a life that feels more fulfilling. Whether we're working on emotional regulation, relationships, or patterns from the past, we'll focus on practical, steady growth that honors your unique journey.
